THE STRATFORD FIASCO – THE SYNOPSIS
Max White’s best client had an outstanding year and he was looking forward to receiving his fees.
Then he discovered almost $6 million missing from her bank account. A few hours later Max found out that his client’s son had been kidnapped at gunpoint in São Paulo.
Now things had really taken a turn for the worse. Before long Max and his business partner are caught up in a complex web of assassins, warring drug gangs, thieves and money launderers that takes them from London to Miami, Mexico City, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
HISTORY
I decided I wanted to write a novel many years ago. I have always been an avid reader. I had long dreamt of writing a novel. Then I was sat in a bar called Caluma in São Paulo with some friends and for some reason which I can not remember, I declared I would write a book. In the coming weeks after that I would sit in my garden in São Paulo trying to think of what I could possibly write about.
Then I came up with some ideas and started to draw some mind maps. Then I fleshed out a basic idea and got down to the task of writing. After I got a third of the way through writing I sent the book off for a professional review, they suggested some changes, I took note and carried on. When I had finished it I again sent it off for a review and had more suggestions which I took on board.
Then work got in the way of the re-writing. I moved from Brazil to England, then shortly after moved to Brussels and found myself working a lot of hours, then the twins were born and the project ended up on hold again. In 2010 when I completed my assignment in Brussels I made the decision to take some time off and complete the book. This, thankfully, I managed to do in February this year.
